To explain exactly why this is, all melee skills attempting to break all pieces of armor includes the opponent's shield, and shields have extremely high armor that you can otherwise very rarely have to deal with (feels like never maybe it is never) when utilizing the basic attacks and target skills. The skills though feel very very bad, the main strategy I employed for this playthrough was a slower paced version of what I had done previously, attempt to poke holes in the opponents armor with quick hits against high def, medium against low def, capitalize when armor breaks and deal damage with Target Body part skills, use Command on the opponent when they created distance or I dealt a fatal hit which still pushes the opponent.Įvery Melee skill besides the target body part skills, is very very bad. Stats at end of game () represents gear enchanted total: STR: 51(60) Agility 1(5) Intellect 1(5) Vitality 25(33) Attack 7 Defense 25 Stamina 3(7) Charisma 14Īlright so there's been alot of big changes to the meta game notably in my previous playthroughs I had worked out that the optimal way to win fights was to stack STR extremely high, and utilize melee's high base accuracy to one shot or two shot opponents through armor, with defense buffed, vitality improved, armor protection improved by soaking all damage on break, I can now say that it feels good to utilize Strength, Vitality, and Defense in a melee build, I feel this was a successful change, the meta game is now much less stale and I feel I am being rewarded for diversifying my build using all of these stats where I was not before, so stat wise melee feels solid. Health 579 Armor 1128 ESS 414 2handed sword build Total Melee Damage: 196 utilizing Fiery Broadsword lvl35
Race: Human (I just like playing humans, not optimal or anything)Ĭlass: Knight (I mean of course right? Not any notable difference that matters between picking Knight and Warrior imo, none of the skills are very valuable.) Level at end of playthrough: 42 Defeats: 1 Grand Champs defeated: 7/7 Many crashes when ending a battle, completing a level up, and when entering a new city after an adventure (7) Zarr of House Fodder boss has 6 agility despite using a bow Knockbacks calculation either very poor or not functioning correctly (power attacks pushing the player over a screen away even with defense superior to the opponents strength, this feels bad, worst example of this I experienced, I was hit by a barbarian rage by an AI with 3 strength, I had 25 defense, I was knocked two entire screens away.) Likely will be patched but mentioning this here for consistency.Īrcher AI does not function, repeatedly attemped to walk into me instead of doing anything.ĪI never once completed the use of the skill whirlwindĪI utilizing the block ability does not functionĪI spawned with no melee weapon post level10 many times, worst example of this would be a lvl35 gladiator that spawned with a dirk and noobs torso armor.ĪI spawning with very out of date armor pieces throughout the game I was thinking this would be a good way to summarize feedback for different builds of the game so i'll be doing a playthrough of each major combat style and recording my statistics bugs observed and general notes about how the playthrough felt from a balancing perspective in comparison to previous releases.
